Vacation Bible School 2024- Stellar: Shine Jesus' Light!
Well, another fun week of games, music, crafts and more was had as we Shine Jesus' Light! What a cosmic quest we went on to shine Jesus' light to the world. You can find a video recap here.
All children age 3 through grade 5 (fall of the year) are invited to attend. There is no cost. Watch for dates for 2025- we usually have VBS in late July.
Night Five of VBS July 26- When people need help, shine Jesus' light!
Tonight, we learned that when people need help, we can shine Jesus' light. Just like Philip helped the Ethiopian understand by running alongside him we can help others. It could be helping them learn to do something we can do- tie our shoes, complete a math problem. It could be helping them stay calm when they are upset. In these ways we shine Jesus' light! We closed out our week making shrinky dinks, playing games, and then sang some songs and had ice cream with our parents! Did you have a great time at VBS? Night Four of VBS July 25- When people are sad, shine Jesus' light!
Tonight, we learned that when people are sad, we can shine Jesus' light. Mostly by just being with them- kind of like mom or dad's hugs when we are sad. We also made spray dye t-shirts, played games and sand our theme song for VBS with gusto. Can you believe there is only one more night?
Night Three of VBS July 24- When good things happen, shine Jesus' light!
Tonight we learned that when good things happen, shine Jesus' light! We sang the theme song for VBS with gusto and celebrated Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem. We made some really cool moving robots in crafts and played water games.
Night Two of VBS July 23- When people don't get along, shine Jesus' light!
Tonight we created beautiful art out on stones and celebrated we could be outside for games. We sang the theme song for VBS with gusto and learned about Zacchaeus, who didn't get along with his neighbors, until Jesus came along! We learned that when people don't get along, we can shine Jesus' light! A light that can help us stay in relationship with them, even if we aren't getting along right now.
Night One of VBS July 22- When life feels dark, shine Jesus' light!
Tonight we made constellations in crafts and got to know each other in games. We learned the theme song for VBS and heard the story of Jesus' birth. We also learned that when life feels dark, we can shine Jesus' light! Like a nightlight the light of Jesus helps us feel safe and warm and it lights our way!
